Buying your first e-bike can feel confusing. Battery sizes, motor numbers, and technical terms can make it hard to know what really matters.
If you are choosing between the Wallke H7 and the Wallke H9, start with how you plan to use and store your bike.
This guide compares their 55Ah single-motor versions. Both offer a large battery and outdoor power features. The main difference is the frame: the H7 makes getting on and off easier, while the H9 folds for storage and transport.
Think about your daily commute, weekend rides, trips to the cottage, and the space you have at home. These everyday details can help you choose.

Wallke H7: easier to get on and off
The H7 has a low opening in the frame. You can step through it instead of lifting your leg over a high top bar.
That can be useful when you stop often during a ride. Think about picking up groceries, stopping at intersections, or taking a break along your route.
If getting on and off comfortably is your main concern, start with the Wallke H7.
Picture your usual day: where you start, how often you stop, and what you carry. A frame that feels easy to use can make a difference every time you ride.
Wallke H9: folding for storage and travel
Our Wallke H9 features a folding frame that makes storage and transport more convenient. Folded, it measures 102 cm long × 55 cm wide × 77 cm high, taking up less space at home or inside your vehicle.
For cottage weekends or RV trips, the H9’s folding design makes it easier to bring your bike along. Compare its folded dimensions with your storage space or vehicle’s cargo area, including the opening you’ll load it through. Check the bike’s weight too, so you can plan how to lift and secure it for the journey
Understanding the 55Ah battery
Our Wallke H7 and Wallke H9 are available with a 48V 55Ah battery. Here’s what those numbers mean for you:
- 48V is the battery’s voltage.
- 55Ah is its electrical charge capacity.
- The battery provide approximately 2,640 watt-hours of stored energy.
Think of that energy as fuel in a tank. How you ride determines how quickly you use it.
With the 55Ah battery, you can ride up to 150 km on a single charge. Your actual range will vary depending on speed, hills, rider weight, wind, temperature, and how much motor assistance you use.
A battery that can also power devices
The battery system on both our Wallke H7 and Wallke H9 doubles as a portable power station, with USB-A, USB-C, and AC connections, plus support for compatible solar-charging equipment.
This could be useful for charging a phone or powering a compatible small device during a camping trip.
Check the battery’s output limits and required accessories before connecting equipment. Solar charging requires a compatible setup. Energy used for devices also leaves less energy available for riding.
Battery care for Canadian seasons
Canadian riding plans often change with the seasons. For cooler-weather rides, we recommend planning for extra battery reserve, as cold temperatures can reduce your range. For winter storage, keep your battery indoors in a dry place, away from freezing temperatures and heat sources. Store it partially charged, check it periodically, and top it up if needed. After a cold ride, let it warm to room temperature before charging. Always follow your battery manual for specific care instructions
Which one fits your routine?
Choose the Wallke H7 if easy access matters most. Its step-through frame is the key reason to pick it.
Choose the Wallke H9 if folding will help you store or transport your bike.
